Citizens Advice receive a large handout to help them continue providing debt advice

The Citizens Advice is being given a handout of over 5 million pound by the Government in order for them to be able to continue handing out valuable advice about debt. By March next year it is thought that, they will have been able to help over an extra 330,000 individuals, many of which may have been suffering debt problems and did not know where to turn.

The citizens Advice is just one of the ways that people in debt can get help and advice. Another is by seeking debt help from a debt management team. You may wish to consider taking out a debt management plan or depending on how much you owe you may wish to consider an IVA. If you are considering an IVA, then a debt management team is able to provide you with iva help

Both of these plans can get you out of debt by you paying one sum of money each month, which is agreed when taking out your chosen plan. This money is distributed by your debt management team to those you owe money to and in some cases, you may be able to save when compared to what you were paying out to several creditors each month.
