Complicated comparison process could lead to more debt
It has recently been reported that banks on the high street are making current account and credit card comparisons too complicated and this may lead to more people over spending and adding to their debt, which leads to them having to seek debt advice. Of course, with credit cards the cheaper the APR the less you have to pay in interest. However, the APR on credit cards can range considerably so if comparison was made easier people may be able to save money when using their cards.
Bank accounts are the same with some giving customers less reward on their savings than others. Yet again, the comparison charts are hard to understand so individuals do not always get the best deal on their current account. Bank charges are often hidden in the small print and in some cases; individuals have had these unfairly added to their account, which of course all adds to their debts.
Any of the above could push those already in debt with credit cards and loans over the edge and have them wondering how they can get free themselves. If I wanted to clear my debt I would look into a debt management plan and get advice online with a specialist team.
