Number of Brits faced with insolvency rises
The number of Brits forced into insolvency through debts that have spiralled out of their control has risen which could see a huge increase in the amount of people asking for debt advice. However many more may fail to ask for that help due to the stigma that is generally associated with debts.
There are several ways that you can pay off your debts with a managed plan or a consolidation loan, you could for instance write debt off with an IVA. This means that you would enter into an agreement, which usually your debt management advisor would set up, and repay back what you owe over a certain amount of time. The amount you would repay each month would depend on the amount you owe out to your creditors and how much you could afford to repay. In some cases, you could be paying back considerably less than you were doing previously.
With around 400,000 Brits asking for help during the past 6 months, you can be assured that you are not alone if suffering debt problems, which should go some way to doing away with social stigma. Admitting you are having problems and finding a way to deal with your debts are the first steps to becoming free of your debt worries and getting back on track.
