Pay off your debts with a debt management plan
If you have fallen behind on your debts or they are quickly spiralling out of control due to you being unable to meet your monthly repayments then you need to take matters into your own hands and take steps towards clearing your debts. If you need debt advice you can go online and get that advice.
For instance to clear my debt I would be able to consider taking an IVA, a consolidation loan or a debt management plan depending on the amount owed.
To take out any of these plans you would have to owe unsecured debts which would consist of credit cards, unsecured loans, store cards or home shopping catalogue debt. You would also have to owe out a certain amount of money which in the case of looking into taking out a debt management plan would be over 5,000 and with an IVA it would be over 15,000.
You would pay a lump sum which would be in the region of 100 to 200, depending on whether you choose to take out an IVA or debt management plan, each month to your advisor and this would be spread out between your creditors. The monthly payment you make could be a great deal less than the debts you were struggling to pay out each month and providing you stick with the plan you would have paid off your debts during this time and would become debt free once again.
